Head of Product Development
Position Overview:
In this role, we are looking for a skilled Product Development Manager to oversee a team of 5. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in New Product Launches in the dietary supplement space.
Key Responsibilities:
· Successfully manage a high-performing remote team of product developers with clear KPIs, accountability, and collaborative problem solving.
· Develop and successfully execute product launch strategies that support the company’s growth goals.
· Recognize white space opportunities and emerging trends in wellness and the dietary supplement space to inform roadmap development.
· Manage launch budgets effectively.
· Build long-term strategies for brand value growth through innovative product selections and launch methodologies.
· Lead the product launch team to ensure products go live on a consistent and strategically planned timeline.
· Assess the optimal product launch pathways, ensuring efficient routing of products from development to market.
· Manage financial risk, ensuring minimum order quantities and cash outlays are optimized without risking stockouts.
· Develop strategies that balance cash layouts while remaining in stock.
· Collaborate with Customer Insight, Design, and Supply Chain to drive products from the initial concept through launch and post-launch evaluation.
Required Qualifications:
· 5 + years of recent experience in managing a team of 5 or more remote employees.
· 7 + years of experience in product development and new launches.
· Proven track record managing large-scale product pipelines and successfully launching products. (vitamins are a plus)
· Strong understanding of how to manage KPIs as well as manage poor performance.
· Analytical skills set with the ability to assess market trends and identify high-ROI opportunities.
· Experience budgeting for product costs.
· Amazon experience preferred.
· Proficient with MS Excel and Google sheets.
· Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
