Cost Analyst (Construction / Renovation):

Position Overview:

This data driven role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of property renovations and expense transactions. This person will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize and identify errors.  This is a fast-paced environment with a growing and exciting company.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

·       Analyze and prepare month end reconciliations, variance reports and cash flow.

·       Analyze and prepare monthly journal entries.

·       Reconcile renovation accounts.

·       Monitor, track and interact with departments to analyze capex statements in preparation for accrual entries.

·       Review accounts payable invoices and approvals.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Skills and qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

·       2 plus years of experience in either construction or renovation accounting is required.

·       Proficient with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, X-Lookup, SUMIF)

·       Excellent analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles.

·       Knowledge of Yardi is required.
