Logistics and Inventory Specialist

Job Overview
 

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist will be responsible for preparing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating logistics for product shipments and receipts, processing receipts and work orders utilizing the ERP, TMS, and WMS systems. You will prepare and review necessary documents, devise schedules, facilitate and monitor warehouse capacity, and respond to customer inquiries. This role will be required to thoroughly track and document logistics and inventory functions while maintaining a heightened sense of organization. The Logistics and Inventory Specialist role will work with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure off-site inventories are accurately managed and reconciled in all systems, performing monthly reconciliations and site audits as needed, to maintain inventory accuracy.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documentation, maintain records, and coordinate logistics for domestic and international shipments, including Amazon

  • Maintain shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers upon request

  • Process inventory transfers from our DCs weekly from the 3PL

  • Audit waiting-to-ship and in-transit reports from our TMS, Amazon, and the 3PL to ensure timely shipments

  • Process PO receipts and Work Orders in our ERP and other systems as required

  • Track Amazon inventory and ensure that Amazon is accurately stocking finished goods

  • Perform monthly reconciliations and site audits as needed to maintain inventory accuracy for contract manufacturers and offsite locations

  • Maintain inventory accuracy in all systems

  • Assists and supports Shipping Department with other related duties as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred, OR high school diploma/GED with relevant work experience

  • Minimum 2 years inventory management/shipping/logistics related experience

  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Excel, Word

  • Desire for continuous learning and improvement

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • This position is in a warehouse and will required extensive use of a computer/keyboard

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer/phone

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time

  • Some travel may be required

​
